Question For Jack Stoner
Hello Jack,
I'm addressing this 'problem' to you cause
I know you have the same model HP Pavilion PC that I have.
Just below the CD draw, and to the left, is an 1/8" receptacle for a headphone set.
I've tried 2 different headsets, checked
PC audio volume controls, moved the headset volume control back and forth, and can't get any sound.
I'm sure that I overlooked something, and maybe you can help me out here.
Thanks Jack,
CF

Don't mean to butt in, Jack, but I try to keep a look out for my buddy Chip's problems.
Chip-- check out the following page on the HP site and see if the info helps. --Everett

Thanks Ev, You certainly have helped me out in the past, and I certainly didn't intend for Jack to be the only response. I only directed [probably should have worded it differently] it to Jack, because he does have the identical same HP as I have.
And, yes Ev, it is a nice feeling to know that someone is watching out for you. Thanks
again, good buddy. I'll check HP site out.

Hi Chip,
I don't have an HP, just a home-built jobbie, but all the CD-ROMs I've had have an 1/8" stereo out on them, too. I can plug in headphones and listen to an audio CD playing in that CD drive. Have you checked your Windows Volume Control to make sure the CD volume is up?

Sorry Everyone. I took off on Friday [3rd]
for a few days of R&R up in St Albans, VT on
Lake Champlain, close to the Canadian border,
and am now just getting back. Thanks for all responses.
Everett's URL address to the HPSupport site
took me right to the headset dilemma. They're
2 ways to reslove the problem. One has to do with Windows Media Player, the other with HP's MusicMatch Jukebox. Both methods worked. Ev, you have a knack for finding and zeroing in the specific remedy. Thanks again
Ev.
