Although "big brother" is watching that particular company's cars I have no sympathy for penalizing the guy for exceeding the speed limit.

There is so many "big brothers" around now that you can't hardly get around them. Most stores and shopping centers have cameras all over. But it doesn't bother me, as I'm not in there to rip them off.

If someone said they were not going to shop at a place that used cameras they would have very few choices. Sort of like the "I only buy American made products" - hard to do in most cases.

I wonder how boldly it said 79mph was the limit and how much the fine is over that.

According to the article on the CNN web site, the speed limit is in big letters on the top of the contract and the person renting the vehicle is told about it and then has to initial that section.

Obviously that particular person didn't pay any attention to what was presented or what they signed. If the person had paid attention to the rental contract and didn't like that provision they could go to a different company.
