Surfing in silence
I'm still using my WebTV and love it for it's ease of use - just hit the power button, your on in 20 seconds. I also like that it makes no noise. There is no fan. I did some surfing with my computer yesterday, it was quite annoying listening to the fan. Also, there are just too many features on a computer. I wish someone would design a computer with minimum multi-media features for web surfing. Maybe Linux is the answer.

There are still optional browsers available beside Internet Explorer and Netscape.
I don't consider the fan/hard drive noise as a nuisance or deterrent to using a PC.
I have a PC, with high speed DSL service (12X dialup), why should I buy or use a unit that I must hook to a TV and then connect at dialup speed (less than 53Kb downlink and 33Kb uplink - these are FCC mandated maximums).
