Address Books

Post by Mel Culbreath »

My operating system is Windows 95B.

Today I upgraded from Internet Explorer 4.0 to 5.0. My previous e-mail program was Microsoft Internet Mail & News. My new email program is Outlook Express.

The address book associated with Outlook Express is not the same as the one recently associated with Internet Mail & News. It is an older version of the address book that I used several months ago.

Can anyone tell me where on my hard drive I should look to find the address books so I
can replace the old one with the current one?

Thanks,

Mel

Look for a file with an extent of "wab".

Example :

xxxxx.wab

the extent "wab" is = to windows address book.

Before I upgraded to 5.01, I "Exported" the address book in to a "Word" file, then "Imported" it back into the new web browser. Didn't loose a address one.
