? For Better Minds Than Mne

Post by John P. Phillips »

I found a cassette tape recently of a "CHALKER" killer ride from a recording a friend of mine who passed last year, cut in Nashville back in the 70's I think. I'd like to share it with other forumits but don't know how to do it. Can someone out there help??

Assuming first that it is not copyrighted material, you could try using a stereo RCA male to stereo "mini" male adapter cable. Connect this to the line in jack of your sound card, and copy the audio to your hard drive using the "windows sound recorder" program.
Since it will be saved as a .wav file, it may be too large to transfer as an e-mail attachment. You will need to use one of the on-line services that offer free file storage on the internet, and upload the .wav file to your on-line storage location. Then give those interested in downloading the file the web address of your stored file(s).
Here is a Google search result link listing such services. Good Luck! http://www.google.com/search?q=free+on+line+file+storage
[This message was edited by Rich Paton on 15 February 2001 at 12:47 PM.]

Thanks a million or more Rich. I'm gonna give it a try as soon as I can gather all the essentials. This sounds pretty simple for even this pea=brain of mine. Hope to show some results soon! Image Image
