On line lessons feasible?

With today's technology, could real-time on-line private lessons be feasible? If so, what equipment and connection speeds would it take- i.e., could it be workable using NetMeeting over a cable or DSL connection and a single camera/mic at each end. - Would slower connection speeds work? Seems like a good idea if possible.
