Ok; I have a question?
So when I highlight some thing with my mouse and right click to print/ How come it's printing the whole page and not what I highlighted?
I'm not that familiar with the printing portion of this contraption.
Oh the printer is a Cannon 4300 Bubble jet. and I'm using the latest Explorer browser.
Thanks.
Ricky

There are actually two different print commands in IE. The one from the File menu shows a dialog that gives you the option to print just the selection (under "Print Range"). The other is the Printer icon in the toolbar, which just prints the whole page using your default printer settings.
The command in the context menu (also called the "right click" menu) is mapped to the Printer icon button command, not to the File/Print... command. This is just how Microsoft programmed it. Someone in Redmond flipped a coin. If you want to print the selection instead of the whole page, you have to use the Print... command from the File menu.

Make sure you have actually highlighted some text. If you just right click on the page without highlighting anything, the selection option will be grayed out.
I just checked and you must have the mouse in the highlighted area when you right click. Otherwise you won't get the selection option either.<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Jim Smith on 15 December 2000 at 12:03 PM.]</p></FONT>

I can print the selection in IE but never have found a way to do it with Netscape.
Any suggestions?
