HP "REVERSAL" problem solved

Post by Chip Fossa »

Well just now I went ahead and got the feeder
drum rolling and did push it with a piece of
wood in the opposite direction. The printer stopped like it normally does, and upon further investigation and harder 'looking' I realized
that [and this is where I refer to myself as "Dummy"] this feeder roller DOES and is
SUPPOSED to move in both directions.
When you print from the pc the paper feeds in on the bottomside, and when you COPY or FAX it feeds in on the topside.
Obviously it was stuck in the copy/fax mode.
So I uninstalled/reinstalled a second time and everything is running OK. Apparently the FIRST uninstall/reinstall did not take all the way.
So yes, stupidness does prevail. But I did learn some things. It won't get me next time.

Thanks everyone, who replied to these posts.
