Question for Mike Brown?
Mike
Recently I came across a pair of 15" Black Widow speakers, like new still in the box,
Model-1505-DT (4ohm) & purchased them because of the low price ($75.00) Ea. The seller did not have any Info on these speakers.
Could you tell me the power rating of these speakers and or thier original application?
(steel,guitar,sound??)
Thanks
Rick

The Black Widow 1505 speaker was designed for vocal/PA applications.
When designing a speaker for steel guitar, there are certain tricks that can be done with the design to achieve desired results. The same applies to achieving acceptable voicing for vocal applications.
I honestly can't tell you how the 1505's sound for steel guitar. I suggest that if you have a Nashville or Session amp, to try them out and let everyone know your findings.
