Well, the seller sure has figured out how to draw attention to the auction. It will be more interesting to see the reserve price.

Any guesses on what it will sell for?

Since the seller had the guitar "professionally tuned" the buyer can save themselves a trip to the local music store to have them tune it.

I'm going to buy it for $25,000.

I'll keep it for six months and sell it for $75,000. If it goes out of tune during that time, I'm screwed, but that's the chance I'm willing to take.

This guitar combined with my Beanie Baby collection and my limited edition Princess Diana Bradford Plate will buy me my ocean front villa in Hawaii.

I hope he GUARANTEES the tuning. I'd sure hate to invest $25,000.00 US (read:$39,000.00 Cdn) in a guitar only to have it go out of tune during the first week! Lordy, that would mean I'd have to have it "professionally" tuned again...more expense! For that kind of money, I'd expect FREE shipping!!! Hmmmm, he says it can play any kind of "cords"...would it handle a 10' ft cord or even a 20' cord ? Makes me wonder if this guy is actually a steel guitarist ? Image

Well if that one on ebay came with a bear to tune and play it, I might go for the buy it now option.

Not to worry, Gerald, there's a music store near me that tunes guitars - professionally! - for only $5000.

Man, there's one born every day. I'll bet you guys pay extra for rust-proofing at the car dealership too. What a bunch of roobs. I have it on good authority that these instruments were tuned at the factory. So you don't need to pay extra for tuning. I'm not going a cent over $20,000.

Back when I ran a local music shop I had a customer who wanted a new guitar based on the guarantee because her guitar wasn't in tune anymore. It's true. It took me a long time to convince her that it's quite normal for a guitar to go out of tune.........

Howard,

I see that your Beanie Baby still has the tag on the ear. DON'T REMOVE THE TAG!!!!!! If you do you won't be able to sell it for $3000. Don't jeopardize your retirement years! Image

Anyone who would pay a tenth of that price would be a certifiable idiot. What is the most a bakelite has sold for? Does anyone know? Gerald is going to buy up all the bakelites to get the price to go up, then retire in Honolulu.
Cheers BILL

That's a steal. For a mere 3 mil, you can get a bronze statue of Rocky on Ebay. The good news is that it comes with free delivery!
