Lee Ann Womack's new CD

After spending the day driving thru a typical blinding snowstorm around Jamestown, NY, listening to the CD I made of Buddy Emmons' Chord Vocabulary and having to repeatedly "rewind" it ('cause it's hard to drive and concentrate at the same time) I gave that up for the day and stopped at the Lakewood Mall and bought Lee Ann's latest CD.
I'm both delighted and a little ticked.
The title track "There's more where that came from", and the current radioplay "I may hate myself in the morning" are great "old style" country tunes. "Happiness" (track 7) is also great piece of music.

"Waiting for the Sun To Shine" (track 11) is my favorite, but it desperately needs a good heart tugging steel break! Why they didn't let PF cut loose is anybody's guess.
Great CD, worth the price of admission.

I agree it is a great CD! I've been listening to it for 3 days now while on the road and it's still good...so I approve it.

I know what you mean about places more steel could have been put and a couple of songs I would have put a steel intro. I do like those twin fiddles but some steel intros would have been nice.

Everytime I hear "Painless", I think of what Johnny Paycheck could have done with that song. To me it has the same kind of feel that "In Memory Of A Memory" has. Lee Ann did a great job on it though.

Considering what's been coming out of Nashville in recent years, this is an exceptional CD in my book!!

I'm stoked that Rusty Danmyer is all over the cd. He's a great player, and it's awesome to hear him on a major release
