Anybody catch the televised part of the Opry last night? What did you think of George Jones?

He sounded a little ruff last night, but you have to admire him. He's a legend and keeps touring with his band. The audience loves him! Image

The 50 year legend special on TBS was great with the newer artist singing his songs.
George's singing was the weakest link, but I still Love and Admire him! Image Way to Go George! Image
[This message was edited by Theresa Galbraith on 12 December 2004 at 05:38 AM.]

How old is he these days?

I saw Lttle Jimmy Dickens on the opery and he was great,
but his singing was only OK,
but at HIS AGE if he still can...
more power too him.

He was an great and enjoyable entertainer,
and that isn't an insult in the age of lipsyncing bimbettes.
[This message was edited by David L. Donald on 12 December 2004 at 07:12 AM.]

I read an article in the past few months that said George has problems singing now.

In the hours after his near fatal car crash, in efforts to save his life, damage was done to his vocal chords.

Like was stated above, he is still "George Jones" and I like to here him no matter what.
