One that I would have loved to have heard steel on was Elvis's Dixie(Battle Hymn of The Republic), from the Aloha from Hawaii album. To me that is the best vocal preformance I have ever heard.

"Sleep Walk" by that Los Angeles studio guitarist that was such a big hit a few years ago... I'm having a senior moment and his name escapes me. Help me out there, boys. He played a 335. Was it "Larry something?"

Herb, Larry Carlton did use Buddy Emmons on one of his later projects. The steel was really prominent on one song, but I can't remember the name of the album or the cut. Speaking of senior moments.............

Based on some recent CD acquisitions I'd hafta add tunes by Connie Francis (female vocalist) or Billy Vaughn (sax). Connie Francis does a lot of "note bending" with her voice. Billy Vaughn does it with the sax. I can hear potential "steel parts" in both of their works.
