I need a new name for a r/r band.

Post by Frank Parish »

Mt step son is working with new band doing r/r from the 70's, 80's and a little other stuff mixed in. The new groups these days have some different names so keeping with that I'm looking for names for the band. Their biggest competition is a band called Cheese. If you have a r/r frame of mind or just something in step with todays names he could use some suggestions. So far we've got these:
Brassmonkeyballs

RunSallyRun

Zaraspook (it's from an old fishing lure but it sounds good)
This is just a local band in his home town so it's not going international or anything. So this is where we're at. If you've got one you want to throw in you won't want back later he'd like to hear it.

Frank,
I had a band back in the 70's and 80's,
I named ,"Rare Blend".
We did a mixture if the old rock and whatever was happening at the time.
You're welcome to it, matter if fact, I'd be honored if they use it.

The biggest rock bands today have one-word names like 'Creed', or 'Disturbed'. Or made-up names like 'Smashmouth', 'Godsmack'. So I would think along these lines.

Ideas:

Sustain
Generate
Splashknee
Coldstove
Bootleg

The days of naming a rock band "The....(something)" are coming to an end.

Larry Miller, you know Red Dot is what they call me on Bobbe Seymours forum, so does that mean that I get royalties or do I have to sue somebody?
