ROFLMAO! I just heard this the other night on the radio.

I'm not too sure I quite follow it yet. It makes my head hurt. Image

If you follow the lyrics very, very closely, you'll find out that it actually works! LOL!

David, I have done a lot of senior adult banquets in churches and always use this tune. In 1951, the year I graduated from high school, this was a top ten record for Lonzo & Oscar. Senior adults always love hearing this tune. I also include the Galvanized Washing Tub and Out Behind The Barn along with other country classics.

Mrs. Lee (my spouse) is her own cousin. She was adopted by her aunt and uncle. Her brother became her cousin, and her cousin (her adopted parents son) became her brother. Then they also adopted her brother (the one who became a cousin) so he was her brother again.

Mrs. Lee does a lot of geneaology research. She discovered that we are related by marriage. I said "I certainly hope so!". Image Actually, she discovered one of my bother-in-law's ancestors in her family tree, back in the 19th century. She has direct ancestors who came over on the Mayflower. Seriously! I think she's related to almost everybody.

Presumably so. At least if you go back all the way to Noah. Image

This reminds me of an OLD Saturday Night Live skit where there are some hillbillies who walk up to a friend's house and ask a woman sitting on the porch, "where's Cooder?" She responds that she doesn't know. One of the friends says, "you ought to know where he is, he's your husband." Then the other friend says, "and besides, he's also your brother."

Re: "bother-in-law" - you don't know how true! Image

Actually, Mrs. Lee has traced one line of her ancestry back to Noah! I kid you not. She's really into that stuff.

It seems to me that if you read the story of Noah literally, then most, if not all, of us are related to Mrs. Lee. Hey, that gives me an idea -- can we come over for dinner?
[This message was edited by Tom Olson on 12 January 2003 at 02:15 PM.]

If you go back to Adam and Eve, it would appear to me that Adam and Eve were the same person! Can you explain that one? I must admit that it kinda confuses me! That would make everyone part of the same person! Does that help bring everyone together a little? You're not fighting with someone else, but; you're fighting with yourself!
