Kind of pricey though, for a wrecked car.

I heard about this on national news on the radio. I got the impression that it had already sold though. Guess I still have a chance! Image

Some time ago George's Lexus appeared, in wrecked condition, in a Nashville area "Auto Swapper"-type publication and was listed as "formerly belonging to a well-known country music celebrity" or something of that sort. They were asking an outrageous price for it. A friend of mine in Nashville kept the magazine with the ad. He sees old George from time to time and thought it would make something neat for George to autograph. I suppose the buyer of the Lexus could haul it down to George's place and have him autograph it with a can of spray paint. Then build a little "shrine" to store it in for the benefit of posterity. I notice that the George Jones Museum folks weren't jumping at the chance to buy the wreck.

I wonder what George thinks of the guy who's trying to cash in on the debris of a car wreck that almost killed him?

IMO, the whole business of hawking collectables is tasteless. Guess it all depends on your tasteless threshold. Image
