Our friend Jason Odd posted a note awhile back that Sundazed Records had just released a Don Rich compilation CD and Buck Owens live Carnegie Hall concert from '66.
I ordered both and are wonderful - I'd never heard the Carnegie gig before, so that has been super.... and the Don Rich compilation contains 24 cuts from 1963-70, about half are pure Buckeroo instrumentals and half with Don singing lead vocals also - again much of which I'd never heard before, so am really enjoying a fresh new shot of Bakersfield. I'd highly suggest both to any of my fellow Buck and Don addicts. - Neil

Hi Neil,
Ahh it's a wonderful thing, now I wonder if they'll stary issuing the albums by the Strangers and The Buckaroos.. soon I hope.
You'd think I had shares in Sundazed the way I rave about them, but check it out, not just the Buck Owens related stuff, but heaps of great Jazz, R&B, beat, psyche and surf music is being reissued by this label.
They have a Gram Parsons CD of acoustic demos from the mid 1960s.
Doug Sahm/Sir Douglas Quintet buyers alert, the 'Quintets' long deleted 1965 debut album is back on Sundazed with extra tracks, while a compilation of rare pumpin' 1964-1965 material is also out!
Wahoo.
Aham.. I've calmed down some.. you're welcome Neil.
