I was going through Usenet music catagories looking for something related to musical instruments when i came across a country music newsgroup. I checked it out and noticed there is a poster going by "Erik". I want to publicly state that it is NOT me. I see Janice posts there. So, in case you were wondering, now you know. The Steel Guitar Forum is the only place on the internet where i post using my first name. Thank you... you've been a wonderful crowd.
Just be careful over there as we have some crazy trolls.
Jason O also posts in the Country classic newsgroup.
The folks over here are a lot more cordial.

I remember a while back there was a post that turned into a real flame fest, all about a Wynn Stewart session and how Dennis Hromek had a solo album, it was a beaut and started off some wicked flaming in several related topics.
No way was I going to get involved in that one. Some newsgroups are open warfare, you should see some of the poetry and surrealist newsgroups in action.. real heavy infighting.
The SGF is one of the most wondeful internet communities ever.
