Houston we Have A Problem; "Chink"
Apparently the guy playing hammer on the Merle Haggard song has managed to turn it into a career!...I narrowly missed hitting a tree off the interstate because of the subtle yet persistent chink in Don William's version of Amanda..some new stuff though: the chink is more like the underwater sonar beep in Hunt For Red October which makes it even more offensive. It only appears on the chorus of the song thankfully some maybe they paid the guy half scale....Pete

Yeah, and another thing !
What is that thing that simulates a hand clap, that reared it's ugly head during the disco era? It still figures heavily in dance music, a la Cher...
I realize that it's used to create the illusion that there's actually something exciting happening. Kind of an opium for the masses...
There's great money to be made in insulting people's intelligence!

.."chink" is an overused and passe' cliche..
..Pink Floyd was a groundbreaking band even in background noises..they featured the sound of "$$$$ KA-CHING $$$" in their song "Money" from "The Dark Side of the Moon"...it's a most appropriate background noise in most of today's new country music, much more appropriate than "clink"....
..for example, listen to Faith Hill in a whole new way..
..I can feel your touch - $$$ KA-CHING $$$
..Slow and steady rush - $$$ KA-CHING $$$
..Suddenly I'm melting into you $$$ KA-CHING $$$...
..Nothing left to prove - $$$ KA-CHING $$$
..Baby all I need is just to be - $$$ KA-CHING $$$ * $$$ KA-CHING $$$
