Haggard on Letterman???

Post by Neil Hilton »

I heard that Merle is going to be on the Letterman show next Monday night?? I see from his tour schedule that he is indeed in the NYC area over the weekend, so maybe so?

If so, I sure hope that they have some conversation and such, and not just a token song at the show's end as the credits roll.

Can you receive the Imus program? He had Hag on about 6 months ago. He does long interviews and Hag played live.

Loretta Lynn was just on the other day for over an hour. She talked about her life, the music bizz, Conway, her new CD, etc. They talked about Lloyd Maines, steel guitar. Randy Scruggs was there with her. He produced her CD. He played acoustic while Loretta sang live, and she flub some lines. It was a fun show. She was great.

Willie Nelson has been on a few times.

Imus keeps wondering who played the steel on Charlie Walker's Pick Me Up On Your Way Down, because he thinks he hears a similar lick that Lloyd Maines does on Dixie Chicks Mr. Heartache.
