The Big Lebowski
...is one of my favourite movies and so I went and got me the soundtrack. Unfortunately it doesn't contain the first song. The main phrase is "weeeeeeds came tumbling dooown".
Anyone knows the name of the song and the performer?
Thanks,
-martin

"Drifting along with the tumbling tumble weeds"
I'm sure it's the Sons of the Pioneers, I haven't seen the film for some time, although I have seen it three times and I happen to rank it as my now all time fave film.
The Dude, teenage runaway ex-porn star supposed millionairess, a bumbling detective, a TV script writer in an iron lung, the bowling competetion, the Big and Little Lebowski, the useless LA police in a car theft situation, a vietnam veteran, a performance artist seeking a healthy male for procreation purposes only, a failed German synth group turned kidnappers with an ex-porn star leader, the severed toe, dumpster crash, Jesus the bowling pervert, hallucinations with Saddam Hussain, and Kenny Rogers finest moment.....
"I Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Is In"....with the First Edition.
Call me the dude, man.
If you have seen this, well it makes sense.

I watched it just this week, great movie! It is "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" with Sam Elliot doing his classic cowboy narrative over the top of it.
If you like the Coen Bros., it's a must see movie. Jeff Bridges and John Goodman are hilarious.

Have you guys seen the other films
Blood Simple 1984
Raising Arizona 1987
Barton Fink 1989
Miller's Crossing 1991
The Hudsucker Proxy 1994
Fargo 1996
The Big Lebowski was in 1998, I think that's all of them, hhmm it's about time for another film boys, bring it on.
And if you haven't seen these films, well they are all just as good in their own unique way, each one has something to offer that is just so far from what Hollywood would like us to digest.
There is one shot in 'Blood Simple' that i sat and watched over and over. It's too hard to explain, but the shot was insanely detailed and brief, they would have had to have filmed the whole thing super slow and carefully sped it up, it's a couple of seconds and they would have worked their asses off to get what would have been a pretty standard shot. Sorry I won't point it out, it's my retentive nature that made me check it out further, I don't want everyone looking for it rather than watching the film.
Just one thing though, is it me or do the all the films have an unresolved scenario that is set up like in any other film {y'know when you watch a film and there's a close up of something or a certain scene and you think to yourself, 'oh that will come in hady later'}
In these films, they might not matter at all!
