Haggard says....

Post by BobRob »

Country Music magazine has an interview with Mr. Haggard this month. Here is one excerpt:

CM: How do you feel about not being played
on country radio these days?

MH: They say the won't play my records the same time they play Shania Twain's? I'm glad
because I don't want anyone mixing me up with that crap.

They also have interviews with Alan Jackson, Emmylou Harris and the Derailer's Tony Villanueva.

From their holiday wish list:

Lumps of coal to... The ACMs for again making country look as cheesy as Velveeta in front of a national TV audience.

What we really, really want....That the days are over when new country artists brag about all their rock and pop influences just so you know their not too country.

And for all you steelers out there that want to look your best they have make-up tips from Jo Dee Macheesna.

Fear not, Merle. There's very little chance of us getting your music mixed up with Shania's. Just don't go sporing a hot pink
Stetson on stage. Image

BTW: Would BobRob be Bobby Roberts who manages the Merle Haggard bookings? I don't really need to know, just curious.
