The Jerry Byrd C6 Baking Course
You must use the smaller end of the egg when performing split string slants. It must be a large egg. A jumbo egg will not do. A medium, or extra large egg will cause unwanted overtones. If it isn't a large egg, you can throw it back in the chicken coop. Those hens get away with murder.....

Herb,....I may just make that show. Send me an email about a week before if you would.
I haven't seen Joey D. since the Starlighter days at The Peppermint Lounge.
Now, to be serious for just a nano second.
I just want to say that I'm a great admirer of Jerry Byrd and my opinion is that there is nobody else that has done as much for the steel guitar for so long. When most others went to pedals, he had the convictions to stay with what he liked to do,and not what he was expected or had to do.
I also believe that it is a treasure to have Jack Byrd relay information to us from his brother.
So, with all due respect, I mean no disrespect. Light hearted humor is my way. I have the utmost regard for Jerry and Jack Byrd, and all of the other elder statesmen on this forum who were there, and are here to share and pass down to us a treasure of knowledge that would otherwise not be available.
If we all had a harmless laugh, great. Just wanted all to know that.
[This message was edited by HowardR on 02 January 2003 at 01:22 PM.]

I just have to put some space between us when he talks like that.
I assumed that no one thought it was disrespect, but just in case. I felt it was the right thing to do, out of respect.
[This message was edited by HowardR on 02 January 2003 at 05:46 PM.]

[This message was edited by HowardR on 02 January 2003 at 05:50 PM.]
