I've known Frank for many years, and he is pretty close to being a genius with steel guitars. Actually, he is a genius, but I can't tell him that or he will get a big head.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro (D tuning), Recording King Professional Dobro (G tuning), NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Playing for 56 years and still counting.

His guitars are spectacular looking. Look underneath. It looks like fine medical instruments. What machining!

Several of our best Northwest steelers play Infinity guitars and they often have to wipe other folks' drool off of them before they can play them when they show up at our jamborees :P

I have the Infinity Universal, pedal action is a dream, Frank has a special changer he invented, uses rollers for smooth feel. Love this guitar.

If I didn't have a Frank Carter modded MCI (already way more instrument than I'm worthy of) I'd be even more sorely tempted to get an Infinity (which has many improvements over my MCI, as great as it is). There are never going to be a whole lot of Infinity's made. Frank is meticulous, building them one at a time, and I think they will be considered as special and desirable as some other limited numbered, investment quality instruments, such as Anapeg's, Klines, and maybe even Wraparound's. Consider this, at this point there were almost three times as many Wraps made as Infinity's.

I have played this guitar (as best I can- Jim's copedant is quite different from mine) and I have to agree. It is spectacular.

I don't need and can't afford another steel, but if I had the bucks, I'd get one of these anyway.

Iv had 4 two was D 10's. I dont play c6th. I dont play much have thought about letting my 2 SD 10's go. But there is nothing like them. The sd should be worth as much as any steel out there. Every player fell in love in the 1st minute. I just dont need these no more than I play. Not sure anything steel compares. Iv had about all of them.

I might have the nicest Infinity out there. Lady Luck was with me. First off , Frank and Fran agreed to build me a steel and now we've been good buddies for 15 years. Second, when Frank was starting my guitar Mark Giles gave him some maple that had been sitting on the bottom of the Great lakes for 100 years aging into this rock hard maple. He only had enough for 2 steels, mine and Billy Easton's. Billy's steel might be my 2nd favorite, it's beautiful. The Macassar Ebony veneer I had from my woodworking days 30 years ago. I told Frank to use it if he thought it would look good, and he was right. When I picked up my steel my knees buckled when I saw it. When I played it I just about cried with joy. there's no cabinet drop or any of that stuff. The finish is perfect like a piano. I really couldn't be happier. When Rick Schmidt and I get together we just laugh at how nice are steels are. He's got a D12 10 pedal beast that is a one of a kind Infinity. Frank say's my steel has a special C6 tone which works perfect for me because I only play C6. Sorry about the long winded reply, I just saw the post and had to respond
