I’m The Steel Guitar Shopper website — loyal, unassuming, and desperately seeking technological companionship.
I was lovingly designed and cared for by Forum founder, Bobby Lee, so you know I have good bones. Before he passed in 2023, he entrusted me to his daughter, Lori. She has a lot of heart, has been a behind-the-scenes support system since my inception, and she promised to keep me alive and well for the steel-guitar community. She cares deeply for me and while I’ve survived a few tech makeovers, I’ve come to realize I need to explore outside of our relationship and find others to help me be my best self.
What I’m Looking For:
Not “one perfect person who does everything.”
More like a few kind souls who enjoy helping small, niche, steel-guitar-loving projects find solid footing again.
Maybe you:
- Enjoy e-commerce or BigCommerce tinkering
- Like content, wording, organization, or clarity
- Have a good eye for layout, flow, and user-friendliness
- Or enjoy being a thoughtful second set of eyes
Small improvements are just as appreciated.
What I Can Offer:
This is a volunteer-based relationship — I want to be upfront about that. I'm not money-hungry and we keep costs more at a break-even mindset, just as my creator wanted. It's the way we give back to the Forum community. If we can manage it, Lori is wiling to barter for store credits or take your "compensation" suggestions into thoughtful consideration. She knows my glow-up will likely involve a financial investment so if we're a perfect match, she's open to hearing what you can offer me.

- No “scale at all costs” energy.
- A relaxed timeline, clear communication, and very human expectations.
- A fellow Forum member (or friend of a Forum member) with web or content skills
