Install a Kluson Tuner Pan
This has come up a few times and my second attempt went much smoother! A very light chamfer on the top and bottom will make it very snug. These pictures tell the story.

Looks great!
While I don't anticipate needing the template I made for mine again, I am holding onto it forever cause getting it just right was trickier than I had anticipated.
