Peavey Session 400 Limited ok Nashville 400?
Hi guys, I did a search here in the forum about the difference between the Peavey Session 400 Limited and the Nashville 400, but I didn't find anything. My question is (is there a difference in the power amp in terms of sound quality and timbre between the two amps mentioned?) Are the power amps of both amps the same thing? I'm asking this because I would like to connect the Mesa Boogie Studio preamp to the amp's rear power amp input and then use only the power amp of these amps for a stereo rig I'd like to build. So I'd like to understand from the experts if there is a clear difference in power in the power amp and a difference in sound quality. I thank everyone who will respond and who has already done these tests by connecting the Mesa Boogie SP to the power amp of the Session 400 Limited or Nashville 400. Another question for the experts: which outputs should I use on the Mesa Boogie, L/R Recording outputs or Out L/R outputs? Thank you all, as always, for your immense help. Francesco

Re: Peavey Session 400 Limited ok Nashville 400?
I have the session 400 limited and a Nashville 400 but not the Mesa preamp so I can't answer you correctly. I have used my Session 400 Limited as a power amp only driving it with a Peavey Tube preamp and the Peavey Profex Ii on occasions. I have also used the Nashville 400 with various preamps into it's effects return. Because the cabinets and speakers are different the results are not the same. I haven't done a side by side comparison at any point. Hopefully someone else has used the Mesa with these Amps to give an answer.
