Changing the Copedant/Knee Levers on a Derby?

Post by Hal Perez »

Just got a Derby SD-10, nice guitar but Left Knee Lever does not lower string 6 which is what I'm used to from my Carter. Is this possible? Anyone done this before?

Yes, it's very easy to add or change pulls on a Derby. If you're just adding that one pull to an existing lever, and not changing or moving anything else you'll just need a couple of extra parts - a bell crank, a locking barrel, a pull rod and tuning nut. Contact forumite Jeremy JT Young memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=22749, he recently purchased all the remaining stock of NOS Derby parts, he should have most or all of what you need.
