Sonicake Pocket Master Windows Software "Sonicake Manager" install problem

This is a continuation of my saga trying to install the Sonicake Manager software. viewtopic.php?p=3260098#p3260098 It's really more of a computer problem than a Pocket Master problem so I'm posting here in case someone has an idea. One SGF forum member has been able to install this software on their Windows PC. A scan of various 6 string guitar forums didn't turn up much.

I am unable to completely install the (Pocket Master) Sonicake Manager V1.3.0 for Windows on my PC. The Manager installer runs ok and suggests to run (additionally) the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) - V14.0.23026 installer which is included.

If I agree to run MS C++ installer, it fails because I have another version already installed.

It's not clear (to me) which version it's complaining about. I have multiple versions of the C++ Redistributable already installed.

I do not wish to remove the latest version which is (presumably) the one that he Sonicake Manager will not run with. This might break something else.

Sonicake support has been responsive but odd. They haven't acknowledged that they understand or have seen the issue. They asked me to send them a video of the problem (I did), then sent me some links to files that may fix the problem, but I don't have access to their google drive in order to download these files. I'm now waiting for access.

I am able to use the Sonicake Pocket Master and the Soniclink android app to edit/control it with no issues. I have also been able to install their ASIO driver but haven't tried audio interface yet. The Sonicake Manager software is only used for firmware updates and organizing patches/presets so I'm not missing much.

Hello Bob,

I checked: I have the C++ 2015-2022 version 14.44.35112, for both x86 and x64.

As reported, I had no trouble installing the manager software.

Might be worth updating?

I just got a Pocket Master last week and installed the SONICLINK software. I have not heard of the Sonicake Manager software. What does it do and why would I need it for the Pocket Master? Have you tried the SONICLINK software?

The manager updates the firmware.

Thanks John, The latest versions are the ticket. working fine now. Those updates are probably the two files that tech support said were too large to email. Odd that the old version that doesn't work is part of the Sonicake download bundle for the Manager software.

FYI The ASIO driver works fine with Reaper DAW software. The latency is a little too much for monitoring via USB, but I didn't tweak anything in its control panel.
