Steel show in Maine with Sarah Jory?

Sarah Jory posted on Facebook that she is playing a show in Maine this summer. Can somebody post when and where this show will take place? Thanks!

Hello Larry!

Yes. Sarah is scheduled to play at the Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls in Maine this summer. I do not have the date yet, but Sarah confirmed her appearance this year at that venue at the close of her show there in 2024. Redd Volkaert and Ronnie Miller were there as well. It was a great show with local steel talent and a great house band. Here is a link to the Silver Spur:

Mechanic Falls is somewhat remote. We stayed at an AirBNB because the hotel accommodations were somewhat limited.

Hey John!

Dee Dee Allen from the Silver Spur informed me that Sarah Jory will be playing with the House Band (FABULOUS, BTW!) on Saturday, August 2. This event is a Dance Hall gig with a big open floor with lots of room. Ronnie Miller may be there and switching sets with Sarah.

There will be a Pedal Steel Guitar show on Sunday, August 3rd featuring Sarah Jory. More information on times, other players and admission will be forthcoming shortly.
More information on camping, RV hookups and places to stay will be forthcoming shortly, as well.

I was there last year for both events. It was a lot of fun and Sarah put on a great, great show! She is such a friendly person and very accessible during the events. Dee Dee and Peter Allen (the owners) are the best!

Thank you for posting Jeremy. I was going to post that Sara Jory invited all to come to the Maine show in August during her second set at the Dallas Show on Saturday. I was planning to attend since Jacob King told me that he was invited to play there, which is where I first heard of the show. Let's get the word out and make this show a great success!

More news - Sarah is playing a gig with Redd Volkhert at Lenny's in Westbrook Maine on Thurs July 31st. Westbrook is about 35 miles South of The Silver Spur in Lewiston, ME. That is about 1 hour and 35 minutes North of Boston.

Hey Quentin, I hope to see you there. It would be great to meet you. BTW, I believe Lewiston in about 1 hour and 40 minutes South of Bangor.

I did not hear that Jacob King would be in attendance. That would be another great headliner, if so.

Here are some details:

On Saturday evening, (8/2), Peter Allen & Hurricane Mountain will be playing at the Spur and Sarah will be joining them. That will run from 8-11 PM. The admission is $15 and all of the events are BYOB.

"The Steel Show" itself will be on Sunday 8/3 and it will run from 1 to 4 PM. The price for the steel show is $20 per person.

I have been in contact with Sarah recently and the show is still on. I also contacted DeeDee Allen about a week ago (one of the co-owners) and she said she is working on a poster confirming the details. But she indicated that all of the details posted above are still correct.
