NV 400 Mid Pot Noise
I haven't used my NV400 for a few months. I plugged into it yesterday and got no sound. I verified this was isolated to the 400 by plugging into my NV112. I accidentally touched the mid knob, loud noise. After replacing all my windows 🫨, I just turned off the amp. Moving the mid (not mid shift) control brought back my sound.
I've read the posts about this issue and have ordered some Deoxit D5 that will be here in a couple of days. Hopefully that will fix it. I have had this issue for at least 10 years. But, I never move my mid control unless it gets moved from my setting during transit, so it was rarely an issue.
If I decide I need to replace this pot (which I can do), I'll need to find one, which a quick search has been a futile search. I read the reports online about the nightmares in dealing with Peavey's part department. Is there another source. The amp part suppliers I've found online don't show it.

Dirt can accumulate under the wiper, best practice is to regularly rotate the pot shaft/knob all the way from pole to pole a dozen times or so to clear it. DeOxit or other solvents are often unnecessary after this simple exercise

That's what I normally do. Thought I would just clean them out.

Richard I have purchased Peavey pots online from other suppliers. Once you identify the value and legs or bracket design you should be able to locate one. It's a 50k linear pot. Part number 71190402 according to the schematic. Full Compass shows it for $7.99 but there's other suppliers.

Problem is mounting. Same pots may have different mounting systems/brackets owing to the application.
