Re: Weldon Henson new album w/Ricky Davis
Thanks for the great Promo Craig. Yes I played on all of Weldon's albums since he started in 2007; even though I was not in his live band until me and Miss-Leslie split up and I moved back to Austin in 2012; then joined his band. Weldon is an extreme Prolific Songwriter and I love helping him create those songs.
This latest Album Done at Cherry Ridge Studio w/Tommy Detamore, took on just what Weldon wanted in Production; and every song sounds like it can go Right On any Top40 Radio station and not be "sounded out" by any current song being played. Me and Tommy have been playing/recording together for over 20 years as seen with our pic below; and we share tracks on this project; as we did with several other projects from the past.... and is always a joy in hearing the final production with ANYTHING TOMMY PUTS HIS HANDS AND EARS ON!!!!!!!! Love it.

Thanks Ricky for your great reply , I love the new album. Heard a lot of your Hawaiian influence in your playing. I kinda thought Tommy was involved since he was involved with the last album, which is great too. Next time I’m in Austin to visit my daughter I want to see you guys, last time I wasn’t there on a Tuesday . The Broken Spoke song is really good as well as the old dog and old pickup song! I still have my 79 F-100 step-side and my main ride to this day, my 95 F-250, which I’ll never get rid of. Tell Weldon to keep writing cool songs like those!
Regards, Craig
