Pedal Steel Legs Inserts Length

Post by Jerry Overstreet »

I just discovered that the set of legs I have listed for sale only have about 10" of insert. Is this something recent for pedal steel legs?

2 sets of older ones I have are the full length inserts. I always thought these were universal to be used for pedal steel or could be extended for stand up use on guitars such as Stringmasters, Dual Pros etc.

Seems like a short cut like this is just a money saving action for the sellers. A bit disappointing that they can only be used for pedal steel use.

Certainly something buyers and sellers should be checking.

Yes, I got that individuals might do this, but these appear to have been sized before plating giving me the impression that they were not cut down afterward.

Looks to me like they just wanted to save the cost of about 6 feet of material back to profit. I, of course, could be wrong. It has happened.
