Dobro Simulator

I am needing to get something that will simulate a dobro sound. I don't really know anything about those and what options there are out there. I have read a little on the Match Bro boxes, but don't know much about them. Any recommendations? I'm all ears!

I use a stock GE7. The new one doesn't seem to have the noise issue.

The cream of the crop is the Match Bro by Goodrich.
Tom Bradshaw has one too.

After some research, I wound up getting a GE7 from a local music store that had a used one in stock. I think it will serve the purpose just fine! Thanks for the help!

To get the most original Do-Bro sound out of a GE7, It is nice to have your amp close. So you can work out setting on your amp. for the GE7.
You get a lot better Do-Bro sound out of the GE7, A plastic/nylon bar helps a lot.
When I first got a GE7, I had bought a box of bits and pieces from a know local Do-Bro player. The box had a nylon bar with a brass center rod. Is sure makes a better Do-Bro sound.

A local steel player told me, The nylon bar with brass rod in it, Was the bar that came with the Tom Bradshaw Do-Bro Simulator.

A GE7 is good to cover a few songs in a show. If you need to cover a lot of songs at a gig. A Do-Bro guitar is best to use.

You can also save yourself a TON of money by buying the Danelectro “Fish & Chips” pedal it works absolutely fantastic! and you still set the sliders the exact same way as you would the Ge-7

Yes, I am using a Boss GE-7 and it is working just fine. I bought a "buddy bar" and that helped too. Thanks for all your help!
