Hello there. Neapolitan Swing is a work inspired by Neapolitan music that, during the years of World War II, was influenced by the swing music played by the U.S. orchestras that came in the wake of American troops, such as Glenn Miller's. In the immediate following years, several local composers created songs that found inspiration from this style of music. This gave rise to the idea of playing some of these tunes with pedal steel guitar, a typical American country/western swing instrument, which seems to be very adaptable to these tunes, precisely because of what was mentioned above.
