Why if your older and want to lighten load would a guy not want this new almost matchbox size peavey preamp and a jay gantz poweramp and 2 lightweight speakers. Or similar.

I went (sort of) that way. I'd been playing a Session 500 a long time, went to a NV112, then eventually to a Milkman Half & Half, which works fine, plus it'll take six string too.. For combination six-string/steel gigs I downsized from using a separate guitar amp to a Twin Reverb Custom 15 for both. When that got too unwieldy I got an aftermarket(blonde) Showman head cab for the chassis and paired it with a 2-12 Bassman clone cab (also blonde). Together they're heavier than the Twin by itself but they're real manageable separately....

But my inner fetish for a supersize rig makes me think about pairing my TWO Bassman cabs (one a '64 with D120Fs) with the Twin head. ;-)
