David Briggs
Another one of the "Nashville Cats" gone today at 82. Pianist David Briggs, one of the original Muscle Shoals rhythm section from the early 60's who moved to Nashville in '64 and quickly became a first call player. His list of credits is amazing (not just country for sure) and he was a very funny guy with a lot of great stories . He started and ran several important studios too.
RIP David Briggs

Re: David Briggs
Really sorry to hear about this. He was one of my keyboard heroes. Wish I had met him.

Re: David Briggs
I was extremely fortunate enough to see Briggs and Norbert live onstage once. I have never seen or heard a pocket like that before, after, or since.
