Yeah, the roadie has improved a lot over the years...I've had two of them...but for similar money you can have Ben Bonham build you a roadie-on-steroids, like I have....maple/redwood/ebony hollowbody arch top with Fishman dobro bridge pickup and Lollar String-through on the cover plate...full dobro or full lap steel, or combo...the string-through is a real difference, the standard P-90 sounds like a guitar, the Lollar is a real lap steel thick, complex sound. Uses the same electronics as the roadie, can run it in mono or setreo depending on what kind of cord you plug into it.,,,
Ben loves to chat, give him a call...but at least take a look at his site for some real eye candy...my roadie-type guitar is the first slide you see on his site...I actually have a set of twins, the electric roadie thing, and a more acoustic deeper body with Weissenborn neck...
