My first time posting. So I hope I'm in the right place.
I had read in another post that someone might have the settings used by John Hughey for his Lexicon MPX1. I just bought an MPX1 and would really like to have those settings, if for nothing else than, to use them as a jumping off point. I know tone doesn't make the picker but at least my tone would be awesome while I'm sounding like a dying calf in a hail storm.
Thanks

I believe John used a Lexicon PCM80, at least that is what he had used in the floor rack that I now have. In any case try the various reverb patches and see what pleases you. I suspect the "VOCAL PLATE" "RICH CHAMBER" and "MEDIUM HALL" may be most promising places ti start but there are a lot of options available. Hint: longer predelay times can help the signal stand out from the effect without reducing mix balance.
Glenn, I have some reference to the settings John used but I can tell you programming the MPX1 is a challenge for most. You can download the manual and I suggest you do that and read it slowly. Also look up Randy Beavers MPX1 settings on the forum search. How you have the unit connected makes a difference as well. I will gather what I have taken from the forum and send it to you if you will send me your email by private message.
I'd just like to thank you Larry. I know I said as much in the emails we've traded, but I just wanted to say thanks publicly for all your help. To a novice PSG picker like me, it means a lot to have others who are seasoned pickers help you out. You went above and beyond, thanks again!
