In the mid to late ‘80’s I bought a SuperPro from old well known Atlanta area steeler Garland Nash. He bought it new and said it was the last instrument Paul Sr. built before he left Sho~Bud. I have no idea the year.
I liked it and played it until 1997 when I got a Carter. The one problem I had was left knee lever pot metal brackets breaking. Eventually a steel playing friend who was a machinist solved the problem with aluminum brackets.
My SuperPro played well, sounded good, served me well, and I made good money playing almost every weekend. (Unlike the lemon junk The Professional I tried to learn to play on but gave me nothing but frustration. But that’s another story….)

That's a NO; because it's a whole different knee bracket for the Curved knee; than the Straight knee> John Coop; used to make Curved knees that would go on a later model bracket and they were cool(But he Died...RIP Coop!!)...but not original and as soon as you start making parts that aren't original measurements.....you will run into lots of probs. Will Michael Yahl's tear drop levers fit under a Super Pro?
Michael can probably make it as he is the ONLY GENIUS MACHINIST stretching out product...but there ya go; you'll have to wait years for him to get around to it; as he is that backed up with massive orders continuously.

Re: '81 Shobud Super Pro
Thanks, Ricky. I had thought that was likely the case.
Too bad. Loved the look of those teardrops.
