Fender Replacement Cabinet Builders

Post by Steve Malito »

Is anyone here a fender style amp builder or have experience with off the shelf (ie mojotone) replacement cabinets?

I have a 78’ UL Super Reverb I got many years ago for a steal but the cabinet is on its last legs.

I would like to rehome the amp into a 1-12 cabinet. But I’m not sure if any of the commercially available replacement cabs will work.

Thanks!

Mojotone makes excellent cabinets to fit just about any Fender amp, just be sure you get the right one

Yes Rick Johnson built these cabs below for me and Lloyd Green so we can fit our Fender Twin's in splt cabs for lighter carry around.
Here's his website:

Here's the pics of Lloyd and then Mine.

I got a pretty nice Showman head-style cab from Guitar Cabinets Direct. Installed the chassis from my Twin-Reverb Custom 15. The reverb tank fits, although it's pretty tight. If I had it to do over I'd go with a bigger head cab.

I have a couple of combo amps in cabs built by Rick Johnson. A Nashville 400 cab, and a Allen Amps Encore (like a Fender Deluxe Reverb). Excellent work by Rick Johhnson.
