Bruce Bouton tears it up “Highway 40 Blues” style

Post by Jesse Nestor »

Hey there, I wanted to share this new song I did with Bruce Bouton, called “Steel My Thunder”. It features Bruce playing brilliantly, in the style that he played with Ricky Skaggs. And not on 1, but on 2 Emmons steels! :) Here’s the video:

I really wanted to feature him playing that way, and it was so great to hear him record it! I’m very grateful to him for working on it with me. And to the whole band too. My good friend Billy Thomas played drums, who you may know as the drummer for Vince Gill, The Time Jumpers and many others. Rick Chudacoff on bass, David Crutcher on keys.

Thanks a lot for checking it out and I hope you enjoy!

Sincerely,

Jesse Nestor

That is great! Great song and great playing.

Maybe we have a new PSG standard to play! Is "Steel My Thunder" an original?
