Tilt back stand for Nashville 112

Post by Elan Bustos »

Hello everyone, I wanted to share a project my dad and I finished a few weeks ago. It's a tilt back stand for my steel amp. I designed it in OpenSCAD, and we used my dad's Shaper Origin handheld CNC router to cut the pieces. It's held together by a hinge, so it folds up and fits nicely in the back of the amp! To make it more durable, I would add a strap that stops it from opening past 90 degrees. Scroll the photos below. I'm happy to share the DXF file with anyone. It could be sent to a CNC router, or you could stick it into Adobe Illustrator and print a template for jigsawing.

Nice design! Very compact too - I would have very much liked one when I used an NV112 - my 'amp stand' in those days was leaning it back with my backup volume pedal and it was far less elegant and sturdy of a solution

Nice lookin tilt back stand.
I made its left hand sister about 2018, The hinges are on the long side, It is painted black. I cut a hand grip in both sides so I could carry it and amp or seat in same hand.

Looks like the beginning of a career in problematic design solutions. I'm sure your Dad is quite proud of your CAD abilities, keep it up! Thanks for sharing.

Haha good one. I have no intentions of pursuing this project any further. My goal was to only reuse and buy nothing new, and I did that so I'm happy :)
