New Milkman Jerry Amp with New Milkman K-120 speaker

Amp made to include the stuff Jerry had done to his amps, and has a power amp with the sound of a McIntosh, into a new Milkman K-120...here's the whole story

the amp isn't on the website, but it is based on a tweaked Pedal Steel Mini. The soursound transformer has given it a huge effective power boost, plus the K-120 is very efficient and loud...

I have the upgraded current Pedal Steel Mini with Soursound transformer and with a Missing Link Hybrid D-120 and it is quite amazing...I'm sure that the Jerry amp with new K-120 will be a notch over that...

The Jerry amp has a different reverb tank, enclosure, a custom power transformer, and a few other tweaks...and the Milkman K-120 is alnico vs. my ceramic Hybrid D-120

I have a new Milkman JG mini with a K120 in it. Really amazing amp. The reverb is glorious too.

Thinking of having this done to one of my mini's. How much does the mini weigh with the new K120 in it instead of a Jupiter ceramic?

Steve- an idea for you...convert your mini to a head+cab, get a cab with the K-120, save the Juiter in the combo cab for when you want a lighter load....and that way you will have a 22.5 lb head plus a 33+-ish lb speaker cab (that's what my cab with the Hybrid D120 is), whatever the K-120 is, that way it won't be a back breaker...

Steve, That's a good thought. Currently using a 16 ohm Jupiter ceramic 12" in a Mini combo cab without the head with the Amp 100 on my pedal board - super light rig. I have 2 complete Mini combos, a 12" and a 15", so I have some options.
I'm really interested in comparing the new K120 with the Amp 100 vs the 40 W mini head.
I definitely want to keep things as light as I can.

Steve- I A/B'd my current model Mini against my The Amp 50, both through the Hybrid D-120.

Both sounded good, but the Mini sounded better. Warm, full, complex. the The Amp was close but had that sterile solid-state edge. I asked Tim about it, he said with the Mini, "Yeah - it's the tube-y ness of the amp that you are hearing there".

so it is an additional 20 lbs for perfection...which I'll put up with for now - why carry the heavy JBL around and feed it with something other than the best? I'll keep doing it for as long as I can...I just love the new updated Mini and the D-120...

But I'm 76, and have Long Covid exhaustion, so I suspect that eventually I'll give up and go over to the The Amp and the Jupiter....WAY lighter, and I'll know the difference, but the audience won't....and that rig sounds pretty great, actually. the The Amp, with tube preamp, is nowhere near as sterile as a pure solid-state rig, which is what so many great steel players use...

My JG mini with JBL weighs 44 lbs. Not so bad for short distances.
