Converting a D-10 to a loafer

Post by Kevin Klimek »

Please don't ask why I am posting this, but I'm just curious if anyone has ever converted a Double-10 to a single 10 E9 which I think some refer to as a loafer with a pad in place of the C6th neck.

I have done it on two Sho-Bud Crossovers that were mechanically messed up. I would never do it to a guitar that worked well. Unless there were serious mechanical issues I’d just sell that D-10 and buy something that better fits my needs.

i've not done it, but i have to imagine it would be very simple to do. remove hardware, install pad.

take a lot of pictures and whatnot in case you want to reinstall at a later point.
