Texas Troubadours C Jam Blues with Emmons and Rhodes (1961?)

Post by Slim Heilpern »

Wow, this was new to me. The Troubadours with a mustachioed Buddy Emmons and Leon Rhodes doin' C Jam Blues to close out this show. This link starts at C Jam Blues, but if you have time to watch the whole thing, pretty cool (the music parts).

Those were the days. Buddy and Leon was at their peak and beaming with talent. What a show.

BTW, in case you haven't noticed, that hot single note solo of Buddy's: no pedals.

Yep I was paying attention. Buddy and Tom Morrell were masters at single notes with no pedals. Blows my mind.
