Sorry, just a little more noise pollution from me.
I wanted to give this classic a little Bakersfield vibe (just the rhythm section).
I recorded video as I laid down the tracks, and in one or two spots had to go back and fix the audio, but who’s counting?

Very nice, indeed, Mike! My first response was "tasty," but I realized right away that that would be pretty cheesy, as would "sweet," even though both apply. I really do love this take of yours on that classic tune.

Nice! I have a Herb Alpert LP with this on it. Was one of the first LPs I bought at age 13.

Did you purchase
Whipped Cream & Other Delights because of the album cover?
The album cover was so popular with Alpert fans that, during concerts, when about to play the song "Whipped Cream," Alpert would jokingly tell the audience, "Sorry, we can't play the album cover for you!" (per Wikipedia)

Nice job, Mike. I like the gritty sound you’re getting on the lap steel.
I too had that Whipped Cream album back in the 60s. I was 15 years old when that came out.
I also had The Lonely Bull album.

Jack, no, I don't have that one, but I remember it. Was too embarassed to take it to the clerk! I have that cut on a compilation LP.

Speaking of the Whipped Cream album, the woman on the cover is Dolores Erickson, now 89 years old. Time marches on!

Like I told you on FB, I've loved that arrangement since childhood and of course, we had Whipped cream and other delights! Well played, Mike!

This was a wistful, pretty tune that was recorded at the same time but was cut from the "Whipped Cream ...." LP but appeared on the Cd reissue 40 years later.
