Pedal Steel Guitar with Denitia- Nashville, TN

Post by Elizabeth Lawrence »

Hi, folks!

In 2024, I had the immense pleasure of playing steel with up-and-coming country artist, Denitia!

Some short clips of our performances feat. the steel guitar can be found here on my instagram highlights page:

(sidenote- in order to view this, you'll need to be signed in to an instagram account)

Thought I'd pop in to say hi and share this on the forum... fun times! So grateful for the SGF. Happy holidays to all.

Elizabeth,

Like a lot of us curmudgeons on this forum, I don't instagram or facebook (heck, I don't even Spotify) but I did go over to Denitia's website and checked out some snippets of her album "Sunset Drive". Is that you playing steel? Very nice!

Hey! I resemble that remark! I'm still not signed up for the Facegram.

There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.

Hi Bill,
Thank you for your note! That's not me on the record, but those are the parts I'm playing with her, note for note! It was a fun puzzle, transcribing all of that. 🤓 I think she laid down those tracks in NYC before coming back to Nashville. I just started working with her this past Spring.

Her music is lovely and so fun to play! I'm usually a guitar player, so it's really fun to play PSG a bit more.

Also... the fact that you all are not on instagram/facebook/spotify is immensely refreshing!! If I find something on youtube to share now or in the future, I'll add it here.

And just like that, I found some videos on my computer! Some are a bit short, but I've uploaded them to youtube, viewable at the below links-

"Gettin' Over" verse and chorus- https://youtube.com/shorts/iIhldB_WgF8

"Back to you" steel solo- https://youtube.com/shorts/h2BYt9lbhcg

"Sunset Drive" chorus- https://youtu.be/NSooLAuS6ho

Thank you for checking them out!!
