The second Beatle cover is "Hello, Goodbye" originally released as an A-Side single in late '67 with "I Am The Walrus" as the B-Side. The song was also released on the US version of the "Magical Mystery Tour" album:
Bob Carlucci wrote:very cool stuff!.. My favorite part is Harrisons little guitar solo that you replicated nicely...
Thanks Bob. That's one of my favorite solos on the whole album. It took quite a few takes to get something that had the spirit of George's solo with a little extra pedal steel frosting on top
Quite something Dennis! Man, all the bits are there in your arrangements.
Joe Walsh said "if you want a musical education, learn every Beatle's song"
Well done.
Thanks for the beautiful music Dennis, it gave me a big smile. It was a special treat to hear Fat Old Sun for the first time in decades, what beautiful memories.
Have a beautiful western Washington day.
"The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over."
Thanks Andrew and Duncan, glad you liked them! I still have about another 20 to post over the next few weeks
That Joe Walsh quote is interesting...I've been writing and recording for many years and whenever I'd hit writers block or just couldn't get anything going that sounded good, I'd stop and do some Beatle covers...they never failed to get me back on track
