New Slide Man Slim & Penny Hanna album "Home Grown"

Post by Slim Heilpern »

Four years in the making, our new album "Home Grown" is out, free to listen or download here: https://SlimAndPenny.com/home-grown

I'm playing my U12 on every cut, which might not have happened without all the great stuff I've learned via this forum -- so thank you all!

The repertoire touches on Swing, Pop, Brazilian, Classic Country and Jazz grooves while lyrical themes include Life's Third Act, Climate Change, Politics, Religion, and (of course) True Love.

It's also on all the major streaming services, including: If you have a chance to check it out, hope it brightens your day!

Thanks for posting that, Slim.

I don't believe I've ever seen a band with two sets of twins!

There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.

Great Music! Man, you sure know your way around a chromatic harmonica. It sounds great. "Contact High" has a really nice grove and I like the sound of the Steel on "Slidin' Around."

The overall sound is great and everything is mixed and mastered really well.

I like the somewhat existential theme running through the song topics.I guess "maturity" has that effect on us.

Very creative.
blah, blah, blah.

And thank you Dan for the wonderful compliments, much appreciated!

Hi Slim and Penny, just wanted to tell you how much I like your album. It sounds first class to me .Like Rick said, all the instruments sound beautiful along with tasty licks . When the steel came in on Contact High I almost fell out of my chair , great playing and great tone. After listening to the first few songs I had to put my picks on and play along. Thanks for your effort, it really paid off. Catt
